We Won 3 Medals at the Golden Bean World Series!

Posted by Liz Roquet on 19th Feb 2026

We just had one of those “is this real?” mornings.

At the very wee hours of the day, we got word all the way from Newcastle, Australia that Lizzy’s Fresh Coffee earned three medals at the Golden Bean World Series Coffee Roasting Competition — two Silvers and one Bronze ☕️

This was our first time being recognized at the world level after years of competing in the North American competition, and we’re over the moon.

The Golden Bean World Series brings together top medal-winning roasters from around the globe, so to see our Ketchum roastery on that stage feels incredibly special.

☕ The Coffee That Won

One of the award-winning coffees was our 8411 Competition Blend, a medium-light roast from Colombia and Rwanda with vibrant notes of blueberry, raspberry, dark cherry, and chocolate.

The name comes from the view out our roastery window — Griffin Butte at 8,411 feet — which keeps us smiling season after season. This blend was designed to shine as espresso and with milk, and it’s been a favorite for a reason.

Why This Means So Much

This recognition reflects years of sourcing beautiful coffees from incredible farmers, countless test roasts, and a team that cares deeply about getting every roast just right.

But honestly, one of the most special parts has been having our customers along for the ride — tasting competition coffees with us, exploring new flavors, and sharing the experience together. That’s what coffee is all about.

We’re so grateful for this community.

From Idaho to the World Stage

Being able to represent our Idaho community on an international stage is something we’ll never take for granted.

Thank you for drinking our coffee, cheering us on, and making this journey so much fun.

We’ll be back at the roastery doing what we love most — roasting the next batch.
