After your Lizzy's coffee bag has done its job of keeping your coffee fresh and delicious, let's recycle it together!

For a few years now, we've been recycling the coffee packaging we use here at our coffee bar at Lizzy's, and we've been quietly testing the recycling option with a few local customers. We know it's important for us all to help the earth process the waste we are producing, and that's why we are investing in providing our Lizzy's customers the option to recycle all our Lizzy's coffee bags free of charge*.

It's all done with the TerraCycle recycling solutions boxes.

What does TerraCycle do? They take our used coffee bags and recycle the waste into raw material that's sold to manufacturing companies who produce the end product and complete the recycling journey. These end products may include outdoor furniture and decking, plastic shipping pallets, watering cans, storage containers and bins, tubes for construction applications, flooring tiles, playground surface covers, athletic fields, and more.
TerraCycle strictly controls the movement of materials through each part of the recycling process to maintain a recycling chain of custody, allowing them to track and confirm where materials are used. Read more about TerraCycle.

How can you recycle your Lizzy's bags? Bring in your used Lizzy's bags, folded flat using the tin tie or tape that's already part of the packaging.Yes, we need to maximize the amount of bags that fit into the TerraCycle box, so we only accept your bags if they are folded flat and organized. Recycling takes work and money, so we all need to do the little extra steps to make it efficient.

What does it cost? Recycling is free to our customers recycling Lizzy's bags!*

Where do I drop off? If you're a local customer, drop off your coffee bags any time into our 'Curbside Box' in our store window. Make sure that you stack them up at home in a clean area so they are free from any other kind of kitchen trash (like egg juice or things that are gonna smell weird!). Deliver them banded, boxed, or bagged up.

Where do I ship? We recommend storing up your coffee bags for several months or a year to ship to us in bulk for the best value and least additional footprint.
